I'm a full-stack software developer with hands-on production experience designing, building, and shipping web and mobile applications end-to-end — including a live client website.   • Designed and built the full marketing site end-to-end in Next.js for a real client, from first mockup to production deployment.
  • Structured dedicated service pages for import/export clearance, sea freight (FCL & LCL), air freight, and inland transport.
  • Built the contact and quote-request flow the business now uses to field real customer inquiries across its Mombasa and Nairobi offices.
  • Optimized an image-heavy hero and service sections for fast loading using Next.js image handling.

Safari Aunt Expedition

Travel agency platform for a Kenyan safari & tours business — customer site, booking system and admin dashboard

  • Designing a three-layer platform: a public tours site, a customer account and booking system, and an admin dashboard for managing the business.
  • Built tour listings with destination and difficulty filters, destination hierarchy browsing, and tour detail pages with tabs and a photo gallery.
  • Implemented session-based authentication with email verification through Resend.
  • Working on availability checks and dynamic pricing enforcement in the booking flow.
  • Developing in planned phases, from foundation and MVP through business features, with a warm travel-journal visual identity.

Task Management & Performance Tracker

Full-stack web app for assigning tasks and tracking employee performance

  • Built a performance leaderboard that ranks employees by on-time completion rate, calculated from their completed and on-time task counts.
  • Added performance tiers (Excellent, Good, Needs Improvement) with colour-coded badges, average completion time and up/down/flat trend indicators for each employee.
  • Implemented a login flow with route protection, and connected the app to MongoDB Atlas.
  • Deployed to Vercel, and fixed the production build errors around strict TypeScript typing and database access at build time.

Kenyan market research platform connecting businesses with consumer surveyors

  • Implemented full M-Pesa Daraja payment integration — STK Push and B2C payouts — with sandbox safety guardrails added after a real-money incident, hardening the payment flow against future risk.
  • Led a security overhaul, replacing a hardcoded admin secret with a JWT-based admin authentication system, including an Admin model, seeder script, and fully protected routes.
  • Built an admin analytics dashboard using Recharts with CSV export for reporting.
  • Developed a notifications system with polling, and authored legal compliance pages referencing Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019.
  • Diagnosed and resolved email verification bugs to improve onboarding reliability.
